Ruth Hackett holds a Ph.D. in Health Psychology and Epidemiology from University College London (UCL), UK. Before her doctoral studies, she obtained an M.Sc. in Health Psychology from UCL and a B.A. in Psychology from University College Dublin, Ireland. Her Ph.D. thesis focused on psychosocial factors and stress-related biological processes in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Her main research interest is in psychobiology and how stress and other psychological factors can influence biological functions relevant to disease.
