Jean-Pierre Riveline

Jean-Pierre Riveline

Jean-Pierre Riveline is Professor of Endocrinology and Diabetology at Lariboisière Hospital in Paris, France. He is responsible for the University Center for Diabetes and its Complications (CUDC).

He has been interested for several years in new technologies for people living with diabetes, especially continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and closed-loop insulin administration. He has conducted several studies evaluating the effectiveness of CGM, and is an investigator on studies demonstrating the efficacy of CGMs in people with type 2 diabetes treated with basal insulin.

Jean-Pierre Riveline is coordinator of two national cohorts: SFDT1, a long-term prospective follow-up of people living with type 2 diabetes to better understand cardiovascular risk in this population; and OB2F, a real-life cohort evaluating the efficacy and safety of closed-loop automated insulin therapy.
