The PREVIEW investigators failed to find a difference between different dietary approaches for weight loss maintenance, possibly owing to the key issues such as high dropout, incomplete adherence to the diets, and the high effectiveness of the DiRECT-style total meal replacement phase that all participants undertook prior to randomization.
