With this history, I would recommend that only the lipid panel is needed. There are no current recommendations to do general screening for type 1 diabetes. This looks and sounds like a precursor to type 2 diabetes and I would not typically order C-peptide or antibodies with this presentation. The oral glucose tolerance test is useful for confirming this diagnosis, so this would also be acceptable.
